Smoking ban with kids in car now a go

Ontario has officially now made a new law. The new law is that, if you smoke in your car with children under the ages of 16. You can be fined up to $250. The law passed last year to protect children from the ill effects of second hand smoking. Every week on Wednesday (AKA " Weedless Wednesday ") would be a day when smokers are encouraged to beat the addiction to tobacco. Even though this new law has been established, Health Promotion Minister Maragarett Best has said that there will be no chance that smoking will be banned in homes with children in them. Studies show that smoking in cars can expose children to concentrations of toxins that are 27 times stronger than in the home. Best has also said that she protects her three children from second-hand fumes as much as possible, and the effects of not doing so could lead to respiratory infections, ear problems, and can heighten asthma. The Ontario Medical Association has also pointed out that even though you have the windows open, and ventilation fans on. Smoking will make the air in the car 13 times dirtier than the air outside. In conclusion, smoking in the car with children inside has finally been banned and it will help with the health of the smokers themselves and the children especially.

In my opinion, I think that this is a great law for Ontario, and should be expanded throughout all the other provinces. This article wasn't based on how bad it is to smoke, because everybody already knows how bad it is. It has actually been based on how bad it is to smoke with children in the car. The fact that the air in the car becomes 13 times dirtier than the air outside is very interesting. If the children are breathing this air, they are experiencing some heavy second hand smoking. Adults should be smart enough to know that they shouldn't smoke with children in the car, because that is affecting their health and it is not fair to fulfill your own cravings, and at the same time putting childrens health at risk. I believe that this law is very helpful, to everyone in Ontario who wants to quit smoking, and this law would probably limit the number of cigarettes they smoke. Also, the children will be better off now that there will be less smoke going into their system.
